In order to meet Standard B, the film must meet one of the following criteria:

B1. Creative leadership and departmental leadership

At least two of the following creative leadership positions and department heads need to be from a minority group – casting director, cinematographer, soundtrack artist, costume designer, director, editor, hair stylist, makeup artist, producer, art director, set up, sound effects, visual effects supervisor, screenwriter:

Female/minority/LGBTQ +/mentally or physically ill or deaf

At least one of them must be a minority.

Asian/Latin American/Black/Native American/Middle Eastern/Native Hawaiian/Other Islander/Other Minorities

B2. Other key personnel

At least six other crew members and technical positions (excluding set assistants) must be minorities, including but not limited to: first art director, driver, script supervisor, etc.

B3. Composition of all crew members

At least 30% of the film’s crew members must be from a minority group.

Standard C: Industrial Resources and Opportunities

In order to meet Standard C, a film must meet both of the following criteria:

C1. Paid internship opportunities

The distributor or employer of a film must hire a small group of people as paid interns.

A blockbuster/distributor must hire a sufficient number of minority paid interns (and must include minorities) in the following departments – production, filming, post-production, music, visual effects, acquisitions, commerce, distribution, marketing and public relations.

Subsidiary or independent filmmakers/distributors must have at least two minority interns in at least one of the following departments – production, filming, post-production, music, visual effects, acquisitions, commercial, distribution, marketing, and public relations.

C2. Training opportunities and skills development (cast members)

The producer, distributor, and/or financier of the film shall provide training and/or job opportunities for minority groups below the horizontal line:

Criterion D: Audience Development

In order to meet Standard C, the film must meet the following criteria:
