Tencent’s second quarter revenue 149.208 billion yuan, value-added services contributed more than half of revenue
Beijing News Shell Financial News (reporter, Bai Jinlei) Tencent Holdings (00700.HK) in the second quarter of 2023 financial report shows that the company achieved revenue of 149.208 billion yuan, an increase of 11% year-on-year, down 1% month-on-month; net profit (Non-IFRS) 37.548 billion yuan, an increase of 33% year-on-year, up 15% month-on-month. Tencent Holdings revenue has maintained growth for two consecutive quarters, and net profit growth has exceeded revenue for four consecutive quarters.
Value-added services, online advertising, fintech and Enterprise Services, and others are the four main businesses of Tencent Holdings. These four businesses accounted for 53%, 14%, 32% and 1% of revenue respectively in the quarter. Specifically, revenue from value-added services was 74.211 billion yuan, an increase of 50% year-on-year; revenue from online advertising was 25.003 billion yuan, an increase of 17% year-on-year; revenue from fintech and Enterprise Services was 48.635 billion yuan, an increase of 32% year-on-year. Value-added services, including games and memberships, contributed more than half of revenue and led other businesses in growth.
